2 of the most exciting players on the planet are coming to a computer screen near you.... Kokushi Midwest Judo will be hosting Ilias Iliadis and Takashi Ono in their very own Zoom clinics. August 8 at 12pm CDT, Mr. Iliadis is the MASKED SENSEI - an interactive clinic where you log on and don't know who it is until you log in (somebody already guessed who he was -- it's a whole social media game). He will be streaming from his dojo in Uzbekistan, and then two weeks later, Takashi Ono will be leading his zoom workout, called NIHON NO SENSEI - judo taught by a Japanese sensei from Japan on August 22 at 7pm CDT. Don't miss out on these because these workouts will not be posted -- visit KokushiMidwest.com to register. It's an affordable $25.
Fun fact: Takashi Ono was the #1 ranked U90kg player in the world for 2010-2011. He was winning everything -- all the grand slams, grand prix, All Japan Judo Championships, Asian games, etc. He was slated to be the topped pick for the Japan Olympic team. He was considered to be the most exciting player of that era. It came to a sudden stop when at the Tokyo Grand Slam when we was thrown for ippon in the 3rd round by guess who.... Ilias Iliadis.
